Kuala Lumpur, 2 May 2017 – Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) has reelected Mr. Antony Lee, CEO of AIG Malaysia Insurance Bhd as its Chairman at the Association’s 39th Annual General Meeting held on 28 April 2017.
Mr. Antony Lee said, “The Association has been proactively engaging key stakeholders in the past few years, in order to propel the general insurance industry forward. The Management Committee anticipates exciting and challenging times ahead – especially with the Phased Liberalisation of the Motor and Fire Tariffs which is going to be a game changer to the industry.”
Mr. Chua Seck Guan, Chief Executive Officer of MSIG Insurance (Malaysia) Bhd was reelected as the Deputy Chairman.
Eight other CEOs of member companies of PIAM will serve on the Management Committee for 2017/2018, namely Mr. Steve Crouch of Chubb Insurance Malaysia Bhd, En. Zainudin Ishak of Malaysian Reinsurance Bhd, Mr. Ng Kok Kheng of Overseas Assurance Corp. (Malaysia) Berhad, Mr. Leo Zanolini of QBE Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad, Mr. Kong Shu Yin of RHB Insurance Berhad, Mr. Randy Hong of Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd, Mr Jayakumar Somasundram of Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad and Mr. David Fike of Zurich Insurance Malaysia Bhd.
