Ng Kok Kheng

Kok Kheng is the Chief Executive Officer of Great Eastern General Insurance (Malaysia) Berhad, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great Eastern Holdings Limited and its ultimate holding company Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) Limited.  He joined the Company in 2002 and was appointed the CEO in 2007.

With a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (now RMIT University), Australia and Masters of Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia, he augmented his credentials by achieving Fellowship in MII (FMII) from the Malaysian Insurance Institute.

 

Antony Lee Fook Weng

Deputy Chairman | Non-Independent Director 
(CEO, AIG Malaysia Insurance Berhad)

Antony has been in the insurance sector for over 20 years. Prior to this appointment, he was CEO of AIG Vietnam from 2011 where his responsibilities included the development of one of the AIG’s key growth countries in the Asia Pacific region. He began his career at AIG in 2001 as VP of Business Development with AIG’s Software International JV based in Malaysia.Antony was first elected to the Management Committee in 2014, and was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of PIAM in April 2015. He was subsequently elected as the Chairman of PIAM with effect from 22 April 2016. Antony is also Chairman of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM).

Gary Hoo

Non-Independent Director 
(CEO, AIA Insurance Berhad)

Gary joined AIA Malaysia in 2017 and is currently the CEO of AIA General Berhad since December 2021. He heads the general insurance business which comprises personal accident, property and motor insurance, distributed through AIA’s vast network of Life Planners, bank partners, telemarketing representatives, nationwide branches and recently, digitally. He is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing its day-to-day operational execution, ensuring the continuous profitable growth and sustainability of the business.

Gary entered the insurance industry over two decades ago, gaining extensive experience across multiple functions such as actuarial, product and pricing, operations and distribution. He is a proud Actuarial Science graduate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of Malaysia (FASM).

Fukhairudin Mohd Yusof

(CEO, Etiqa General Insurance Berhad)

Fukhairudin Mohd Yusof was appointed as CEO of Etiqa General Insurance Berhad (formerly known as Etiqa Insurance Berhad) on 1 January 2018. Fukhairudin started his career with SPK Bowring Marsh & McLennan in 1994 before moving to Malaysia National Insurance (MNI) in 2003. From 2005 onwards, he has held various senior position such as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Vice President at Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad.

Fukhairudin has been in the insurance industry for more than 29 years. He holds an Associateship of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) from CII College of Insurance, Sevenoaks Kent in 1993. He received the Chartered Insurance Practitioner title in 1997. He has also obtained his Fellowship in MII (FMII) from the Malaysian Insurance Institute in 2023. Fukhairudin sits on the board of Persatuan Insurance Am Malaysia (PIAM) since April 2022 and board member of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia Berhad (VTREC) since February 2023.

 

 

Fabrice Benard

Fabrice Benard is the CEO of Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Country Head of Generali entities i n Malaysia With over 20 years of experience, Fabrice brings on board strong technical and strategic experience in general insurance, actuarial, risk management, financial, bancassurance and M&A. Preceding his current position, Fabrice was based at Generali Asia Regional Office, Hong Kong where he led the regional P&C function to drive profitable and sustainable growth agenda He also had an international career in senior management positions with reputable financial institutions and firms in France, Italy, Middle East and Asia.

Puneet Pasricha

Non-Independent Director 
(CEO, Liberty General Insurance Berhad)

Puneet Pasricha (Pasha) is the Chief Executive Officer of Liberty General Insurance Berhad in Malaysia, a majority-owned subsidiary of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.

Pasha has been with Liberty Mutual Group since 2004 working across different markets. He also held various leadership roles in Operations, Distribution, Claims and Strategy.

Pasha joined Liberty Malaysia operations in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing Claims and Operations Division. In 2020, he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, stepping into a pivotal leadership position to steer the Liberty Malaysia’s operations.

Prior to joining Liberty, Pasha gained valuable experience in India, working with Reliance Industries Limited - a Fortune 500 company and the largest private sector corporation in the country - as well as with Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Limited, one of India’s leading financial services firms based in Mumbai.

Pasha has a Bachelor in Commerce from University of Mumbai (India), MA in Accounting & Financial Economics from the University of Essex (UK) and MBA in Risk Management Insurance & Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).

Balasubramanian Nagarajan

(Head of Malaysia Branch, Swiss Re Asia Pte.Ltd, Malaysia Branch)

Balasubramanian (Bala) joined Swiss Re in 2006 and currently heads SRAL Malaysia Branch (Conventional & Retakaful). In the current role, he is responsible for Business Development, Client relationship development and solutions implementation, Regulatory Engagement and Branch Management.

In his previous role as Head of Business Management, he led a team of Claims Experts who work in various markets of South East Asia, India, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. He and his team specialized in handling of Property and Engineering claims, Liability and Non-life Accident claims. Bala was also involved in administering run off portfolios and has the experience of managing TPA's.

Bala has work experience of more than 25 years equally split between direct Insurance companies in India and Singapore, and Reinsurance. In the primary market, Bala has worked in underwriting, Risk inspection and in claims for multiple lines of business including Motor liability, General Accident, Property, Engineering and Rural Insurances. Bala holds a degree in Commerce from Madurai Kamaraj University and an EMBA from S P Jain School of Global Management. Bala is also an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.

Ng Hang Ming

(CEO, Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad)

Hang Ming is the CEO of Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad, a position he has held since 2018. He is a financial services industry veteran with over 32 years of experience in banking, insurance and reinsurance.

Hang Ming joined the insurance industry in Singapore in 1998 and relocated to Malaysia in 2003. Prior to joining Tokio Marine, he had been a CEO in a general insurer and a retakaful company. Before joining the insurance sector, Hang Ming was in the banking industry covering consumer, corporate and investment banking.

Junior Cho

Non-Independent Director
(CEO, Zurich General Insurance Berhad)

In this country leadership role, Junior will oversee Zurich’s businesses in Malaysia, ensuring strategies and foundations are in place to enhance the customer journey and drive sustainable growth. Zurich Malaysia operates four business lines namely life insurance, general insurance, family takaful and general takaful. Being the only multinational corporation that holds all four insurance and takaful licenses, Zurich Malaysia offers a broad range of insurance and takaful solutions under one brand to ensure that customers have comprehensive and bespoke coverage based on their personal needs.

Junior will also continue on as Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer, a position he assumed on 15 July 2019 after having been with the company for three (3) years. He initially joined Zurich as Head of Market Management across General Insurance and General Takaful.

Throughout his tenure Junior has played a critical role in growing Zurich Malaysia’s general business segment by delivering on strategic business propositions, enhancing distribution channels through partnerships and embracing digitisation to better serve customers and agents.

A veteran of the industry, Junior has 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services sector. He has held several senior management roles in business strategy, sales, marketing, distribution, customer management, operations and technology, including overseeing regional operations.

Junior is a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering graduate from Columbia University, New York. His career began in Accenture’s New York office before joining the insurance industry.
