Kuala Lumpur, 7 June 2022 – Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) is announcing the closure of the CSR Flood Relief Fund (CSR Fund), effective 15 June 2022. The CSR Fund with contribution amounting to RM2.43 million was set up in January 2022 by PIAM and its members, to alleviate the hardship faced by owners of cars, motorcycles and private vehicles including commercial vehicles, inundated under flood waters.
The CSR Fund in the form of subsidy for mechanical clean-up cost (excluding repair) at any competent workshops was provided by the general insurance industry over and above existing commitments by insurers to expedite payment of flood claims settlement, waiver of certain mandatory claims documentations, simplified claims process, additional special relief measures that were provided by individual insurers.
Eligible claimants are advised to submit their applications via the MyCSR-Flood.my portal before 15 June 2022 as no application will be accepted thereafter. Any further updates will be provided through the portal.
